Our Story

Healthcare combined with Information Technology has been a passion of the Blue Cirrus founders since early in their over 20+ year careers.  As a self-funded, woman-owned small business founded in 2010, Blue Cirrus Consulting began working within the areas of project management, interim leadership, and providing supplemental resources to hospital clients. The Healthcare IT world is forever changing and in 2012 Blue Cirrus began advising clients in the emerging market of telemedicine. They partnered with, developed and deployed telehealth programs for prestigious organizations such as Intermountain Healthcare and Adventist Health. From these successful implementations, Blue Cirrus grew an additional practice: Telehealth Services.  The Blue Cirrus Telehealth team is tasked with partnering with healthcare organizations across the country to assist with strategy and business planning, staffing, technology acquisition as well as initiative implementation.

Today, Blue Cirrus Consulting continues to partner with clients across the spectrum in Management Consulting, Telehealth Services, and EHR deployment platforms. As the name Blue Cirrus implies, working with us means good things ahead and the high level of satisfaction received from clients confirms our highly qualified, highly reliable and highly productive consultants and services are what we deliver every time.

Michelle Hager Profile

Michelle Hager

Managing Partner

Michelle has over 25 years working in healthcare information technology and clinical service.  Her career included hospital IT leadership, senior management in consulting and executive leadership at a major EHR vendor.

Her career began with a focus in Pharmacy after obtaining her Bachelors in Information Studies from Florida State University. Michelle spent 12 years in Information Technology at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare focusing on Y2K and EMR transition projects.

She then joined a Fortune 500 EHR corporation where her career spanned 7 years working in the United States, United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands in senior leadership roles.  After her international work, Michelle joined a Healthcare IT consulting firm as the national Practice Director managing consultants, clients and the sales team in balancing priorities, managing budgets and operations.

In 2010 she founded Blue Cirrus Consulting and continues to use her leadership capabilities and experience in business development, operations and customer relations to partner with clients and consultants to provide the absolute best service. She speaks often at various professional conferences such as HIMSS, SCHIMSS, GAHIMSS, American Association of Pharmacy Technicians, American Telemedicine Association and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. She is passionate about the importance of clinical workflow, IT leadership, strategy and medication safety.

Michelle is very active in HIMSS as the past-President of South Carolina HIMSS Chapter, former Vice-Chair for the Eastern Region on Public Policy, SC Chapter Advocate for South Carolina and board Secretary.  She has worked diligently throughout her years with HIMSS to educate the industry and the public on healthcare and Healthcare IT public policy and future IT strategic directions.

Brad Hager Profile

Brad Hager

Vice President

Brad has over 25 years of experience in healthcare information technology and computer programming. He has a passion for ‘getting it right’ and finding the best solutions for our clients and staff.  

Brad loves to work on projects and creates a team environment that gets the best out of everyone.  As a PMP certified professional he has helped numerous healthcare systems achieve their goals of improving quality of care, making efficient use of resources, and recognizing a return on investments.

Since 1990 he has worked with hospitals and health systems large and small on clinical and financial system optimizations, conversions and selections. The opportunity to lead and administer projects for a Fortune 500 company took Brad overseas to England and Wales where he assisted the National Health Service (NHS) with the Connecting for Health (NPfiT) program.

While living in England, Brad and his wife Michelle celebrated the birth of their son Ethan. Shortly after repatriating to the US, Brad and Michelle launched Blue Cirrus Consulting to share a lifetime of healthcare information technology knowledge and expertise with hospitals and healthcare providers. Brad serves on the Board of Directors for South Carolina HIMSS and volunteers at his son’s school teaching math and STEAM activities.
